　秋の情景を作り上げる、紅葉。古くからこの紅葉を愛でる文化のある日本では、より美しく鑑賞するために様々な工夫をしている。庭園の紅葉を屋内の床に写す方法、遠くの山と近くの庭の調和を一枚の絵のように見立てたりする方法など、鑑賞の仕方は多岐に渡る。こうした風景は、植林や伐採などの管理や保全に取組む人たちの努力の賜物でもある。古くから現代、そして後世へ引き継がれている日本人の紅葉を愛する心を描く。

　红叶酿造出秋天的美麗情景。在日本自古以来就有欣赏红叶的文化。日本人为了让红叶看起来更美，想了很多办法。有一家寺廟把庭院中的红叶倒映在屋内的地板上以讓人欣賞、也有人想出把远处的山景与近处的庭院配合成為一幅画般的所謂“借景”等等。這些红叶风景只有进行造林、砍伐等勤懇工作的人員才能得到的。

　本集主要描写了从古代到現在，代代相傳下來的日本人喜爱欣赏红叶之心。

Japan is renowned for the beauty of its autumn foliage. With regard to the trees whose leaves change colors in Autumn, Japan observes wider variety of species than anywhere in the world. Therefore, Japanese have developed their culture to enjoy it in many ways. For example, some temple has succeeded in reflecting their garden view onto the polished floor so that visitors can enjoy it indoors. Others have invented to take advantage of distant view of mountains as if it were a deep part of their unlimited garden. Visitors could enjoy the garden at hand as a treasure gift from the immense nature.

Of course, there are so many people around all these stories who try their best to keep and pass on this Japanese culture generation to generation.
