日本では毎年、２０カ国以上から障害のあるアーティストが参加する絵画のコンテストが開催される。この大会を主催している団体は、企業に有料で絵画を貸し出し、アーティストの収入につなげている。❶東北地方の都市、盛岡にある企業は、障害のあるアーティストの作品をネクタイなどの日用品にして販売。この企業の代表は、知的障害のある兄がいる。その兄を幸せにする社会を作るために起業した。障害を欠落ではなく、個性と捉える価値観が広がっている。
