　人口約３万人の香川県「小豆島」。穏やかな気候と美しい自然に惹かれ、毎年、海外から10万人を超える観光客が訪れる。しかし、大都市からの交通の便がよいため、宿泊をする人達が少ないという問題がこの島にはあった。そこで地元・香川大学の学生が、島内に古くからある迷路のような道と、誰も住んでいない日本家屋を活かす宿泊施設を発案。地域の支持を得て、実現に向けて取り組む姿を紹介する。

　人口約3萬人的香川縣小豆島。氣候溫暖，自然景色迷人，每年有超過10萬人的海外遊客到訪這裡。但是，由於與高松市等大城市的交通方便，在島上住宿的遊客很少。因此，在高松市的香川大學的學生們提議利用島內自古就有的如迷宮般的道路這個魅力，也利用閒置的日本式古老房屋作為旅館，來導致遊客住宿。

　本集為大家介紹，大學生們為了實現這個創意，與當地人們共同努力的情形。

Shodoshima, in Kagawa Prefecture, is a small island in the Seto Inland Sea, with a population of about 30,000. Its mild climate and beautiful scenery make it a popular tourist destination with over 100,000 overseas visitors a year.

But its convenient access from the big cities nearby does not always do good to the islanders, because most visitors try to leave for next destination the same day.

In order to encourage tourists to stay overnight on the island, a group of students at Kagawa University proposed to make use of the features of the place just like remaking the unused old houses into guesthouses and changing image of the narrow alleys of old town as if a big play zone of maze.

These ideas are now receiving enthusiastic support from the islanders.
